Maharashtra traces 338 of 404 citizens stranded in Nepal

The Maharashtra administration has successfully located 338 of the 404 Indian citizens reported stranded in Nepal, according to official sources on Tuesday. The development represents significant progress in efforts to account for and assist those caught amid the travel disruption.

A group of 45 tourists who had travelled through an Ahilyanagar-based travel agency have already crossed back into India, bringing the total number of accounted-for individuals closer to resolution. These returning visitors represent the first confirmed batch to successfully complete the journey home.

State authorities are continuing their coordination efforts to establish contact with the remaining 66 stranded citizens. The administration has mobilized resources to facilitate safe passage and provide necessary assistance to those still awaiting return to India.
