Mahindra Lifespaces to redevelop nine Chembur residential buildings

Mahindra Lifespaces, the real estate arm of the Mahindra Group, has entered into a redevelopment agreement valued at ₹143 crore with a Chembur-based housing society comprising 133 members. The project will involve the comprehensive redevelopment of nine residential buildings in the established eastern Mumbai neighbourhood.

The redevelopment initiative is expected to modernise the existing housing stock while providing residents with improved living standards and contemporary amenities. Such projects typically involve demolition of older structures and construction of new residential complexes on the same land, with original residents receiving compensatory units in the new development.

Chembur has emerged as a sought-after locality for redevelopment projects in recent years, given its established infrastructure, connectivity, and residential demand. The agreement underscores developer confidence in the area's potential for sustainable growth and value creation.
