Mahindra reports 15% surge in September vehicle sales to 115K units
Mahindra & Mahindra's overall auto sales climbed 15 per cent year-on-year in September, driven by strong domestic demand across utility vehicles and commercial segments. The automaker also announced crossing one lakh electric SUV billings since launch.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd reported total vehicle sales of 1,14,874 units in September, marking a 15 per cent increase compared to the same month last year, including domestic and export figures.
Domestic utility vehicle sales reached 64,092 units in September, reflecting a 14 per cent year-on-year growth. The commercial vehicle segment contributed 30,420 units domestically, also registering a 14 per cent increase from the previous year.
The utility vehicle category, which includes the company's SUV portfolio, saw 64,092 units sold during the month. Velusamy R, President of Automotive Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, noted that the company has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing one lakh billing units for its Electric Origin SUVs since their market launch, underscoring the growing demand for electric vehicles in the Indian market.
The September numbers reflect sustained momentum in the domestic automotive sector, with utility vehicles continuing to lead growth across the industry.
