India's homegrown automotive major Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to intensify its global footprint through aggressive exports of its new Lifestyler pickup, leveraging a platform developed specifically to tap into emerging international opportunities.
Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company's Auto & Farm Sectors division, indicated that the newly unveiled Scorpio Lifestyler represents a pivotal element in the group's international expansion blueprint. The vehicle will enter the domestic market in April 2027 before being rolled out globally under the Lifestyler nameplate, targeting markets where demand for lifestyle-oriented utility vehicles remains robust.
The pickup is being marketed as a global platform designed to maximize reach across diverse geographical markets. Jejurikar emphasized the strategic importance of the launch, describing it as integral to maintaining Mahindra's growth momentum in key export regions.
The expansion comes as Mahindra capitalizes on its recent success in the electric passenger vehicle segment, where the company achieved multi-fold sales growth in the previous fiscal year. The company remains confident of sustaining this upward trajectory through a pipeline of new products entering the market across both domestic and international segments.
The Lifestyler initiative underscores Mahindra's commitment to strengthening its position in global markets while leveraging domestic manufacturing capabilities and automotive expertise.
