The national carrier has rescheduled flights to accommodate temporary airspace closures in Kuala Lumpur during National Day rehearsals and celebrations. Closures will affect operations on multiple days in late August.

Malaysia Airlines has announced schedule adjustments to its flight operations in response to airspace restrictions being implemented for Merdeka Day festivities in the capital.
Temporary airspace closures have been scheduled for three separate periods. From 11am to noon on August 26, 27, and 28, airspace will be unavailable as rehearsals for the National Day parade take place. Additional restrictions will be in effect from 8:45am to 9:45am on August 29 and 31, coinciding with parade activities.
The flight rescheduling is part of standard aviation protocol when airspace closures are mandated for significant national events. Malaysia Airlines passengers scheduled to depart or arrive during these windows may experience slight delays or flight time adjustments.
Passengers are advised to check with the airline directly regarding any changes to their bookings. Malaysia Airlines has not announced the specific number of flights affected by the temporary closures.
