Malaysia Airlines adjusts flight schedules for National Day airspace closure

Malaysia Airlines Bhd announced it will modify flight schedules at KLIA to accommodate airspace closures required for National Day aerial display preparations. The airline is coordinating with relevant authorities to minimise disruption to passengers while ensuring compliance with airspace restrictions during the rehearsal activities.

Selected flights will be retimed to operate outside the affected airspace windows. Passengers on impacted services are being notified of schedule adjustments, with Malaysia Airlines advising travellers to confirm their flight details and allow additional time for airport procedures.

The airspace closure is part of preparations for Malaysia's National Day celebrations, which traditionally feature military flypast demonstrations over Kuala Lumpur. Such restrictions are implemented periodically ahead of major national events to ensure flight safety during aerial rehearsals.

Malaysia Airlines has urged affected passengers to check their booking confirmations and contact the airline directly for specific information regarding their flights. The carrier emphasised its commitment to maintaining service reliability while supporting national event preparations.
