Malaysia, China propose expedited customs clearance for fresh durian exports

Under the scheme, pre-cleared durian consignments meeting specified quality and safety standards could bypass conventional inspection procedures, allowing faster movement through Chinese ports and inland checkpoints. The arrangement is expected to particularly benefit Malaysian exporters during peak harvest seasons when time-sensitive logistics become critical to maintaining product freshness.
