The SMART team, specialising in disaster assistance and rescue operations, will coordinate with Nepali authorities and international partners to locate and provide aid to Malaysian citizens impacted by the situation. In addition to the personnel deployment, Malaysia has committed US$1 million in financial assistance to support immediate relief efforts and recovery operations in Nepal. The funding is intended to address urgent humanitarian needs and support both Malaysian nationals and the broader affected population. The Madani Government's swift response underscores its priority on citizen welfare and Malaysia's readiness to extend assistance during international emergencies. Officials indicated that the mission would operate in close coordination with diplomatic missions and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of aid and support services.
