PUTRAJAYA — The Ministry of Health has approved promotions and acting appointments for a total of 6,724 officers serving across various service schemes, the ministry announced on Wednesday.
The approvals encompass staff from different categories and levels within the health service, reflecting the ministry's commitment to career progression and organisational development. The announcement represents one of the larger promotion exercises conducted by the health ministry in recent years.
Among those approved are four officers who were victims of a helicopter crash, according to the ministry. The approvals for these officers were included as part of the regular promotion cycle.
The health ministry said the promotions and acting appointments were granted following careful assessment and in accordance with established civil service procedures and regulations. Officials indicated that the move aims to strengthen the ministry's human resource capacity and ensure adequate staffing at various levels of the health sector.
The approved officers are expected to assume their new positions in the coming weeks, contingent on standard administrative processing by the Public Service Department.
