Malaysia's biggest airport slashes ride-hailing entry fee to 49 cents
Kuala Lumpur International Airport has reduced the vehicle entry charge for ride-hailing services to a flat rate of RM2 (US$0.49) across both its terminals, marking a significant cost cut for e-hailing operators.

The fee reduction at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia's primary aviation hub, aims to ease operational costs for ride-hailing companies serving the airport's growing passenger base. The uniform RM2 charge now applies to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, streamlining the previous fee structure that varied between facilities.
The move comes as ride-hailing services have become increasingly integral to airport ground transportation, competing with traditional taxis and shuttle services. By lowering entry barriers, KLIA seeks to enhance competition and potentially improve service quality for travelers departing from or arriving at the airport.
