KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 — Malaysia's approach to the sensitive China-Taiwan question has remained unwavering and consistent with the nation's foundational foreign policy principles, according to Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.
Fahmi's statement came in response to recent remarks made by Prime Minister, clarifying that the government's position reflects continuity rather than any shift in Malaysia's diplomatic stance on cross-strait relations.
The minister emphasised that Malaysia's policy framework on this matter traces its roots to the era of Malaysia's second Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, indicating the longstanding nature of the nation's principled stance.
