Malaysia's Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) conducted a joint inspection at the petrol station in Batu Kawan after receiving reports that drivers experienced vehicle issues following fuel purchases. The examination was carried out in coordination with representatives from the oil company and the station operator.
According to the preliminary findings, inspectors detected no signs of water in the RON95 fuel tanks examined during the operation. The investigation included testing of fuel samples and a thorough inspection of storage facilities to determine the cause of the reported problems.
The station operator and fuel supplier have cooperated fully with authorities throughout the verification process. KPDN said it would continue monitoring the situation and remain available to investigate any further complaints from consumers regarding fuel quality in the area.
The ministry's findings suggest that vehicle problems reported by motorists may have stemmed from factors other than fuel contamination, though a comprehensive investigation into individual cases remains ongoing.
