KUALA LUMPUR — The Malaysian government will allocate RM1.1 billion for the operations of enforcement agencies, including the Royal Malaysia Police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, according to Budget 2027 announcements made here.

The funding boost aims to enhance the operational capacity of key enforcement bodies tasked with maintaining law and order across the country. The allocation reflects the government's commitment to resource critical agencies responsible for combating corruption, crime prevention, and public safety.

In a related development, the government confirmed plans to draft a Government-owned Entities Bill next year. The proposed legislation is expected to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework governing the operations and accountability of state-owned enterprises and entities.

The bill is anticipated to strengthen governance standards and transparency mechanisms across the public sector. Officials indicated the legislation would address oversight mechanisms and performance requirements for government-owned institutions.

These budgetary provisions and legislative initiatives form part of broader efforts to enhance institutional efficiency and public sector accountability ahead of 2027.
