Malaysia to expand autism preschool places with 132 new Kemas centres

Malaysia's Community Development Department (Kemas) is preparing a major nationwide expansion of preschool services tailored for children with autism spectrum disorder, with 132 new classes set to launch in early 2027.

The rollout represents a significant investment in early childhood intervention and special education support, addressing growing demand for accessible preschool programmes designed specifically for children with autism.
