Deputy Finance Minister II Amir Ampuan Harun said the federal government remains committed to channeling the outstanding funds to Sabah following the official gazetting of the special grant. The RM900 million represents the balance of the allocation that has yet to be released to the state. According to Amir, the gazetting process is expected to be completed within the current calendar year, allowing for the subsequent transfer of funds. The announcement underscores the government's efforts to fulfil its financial commitments to Sabah as part of broader fiscal measures supporting the state's development initiatives. The timing of the gazette notice is seen as critical to ensuring the funds reach their intended recipients within the allocated fiscal period.
