A Malaysian national who went missing in Nepal has been found safe, providing relief to authorities and family members who have been tracking the whereabouts of dozens of citizens in the region following recent events.
The traveller, a solo adventurer, had become stranded in the Nagthali area where damaged infrastructure prevented any form of communication. The isolation left the individual unable to contact authorities or loved ones for an extended period.
The discovery marks the first confirmed location of one of 55 Malaysians reported missing in Nepal. Authorities have intensified efforts to account for all citizens in the affected region, with officials conducting systematic searches and coordinating with local Nepali counterparts.
The Malaysian government continues to monitor the situation closely and urges any additional missing nationals or those with information to make contact with the nearest Malaysian diplomatic mission. Families of those still unaccounted for are being provided updates as search and verification operations proceed.
