Malaysian volunteers deploy to aid Nepal's flood-orphaned children
A team of five Malaysian aid workers from United Sikhs Malaysia is travelling into Nepal's most severely affected flood zones to provide assistance to nearly 100 children separated from their parents by recent disasters.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 — Five Malaysian volunteers under the banner of United Sikhs Malaysia are mobilizing to reach one of Nepal's most devastated flood-affected regions, where nearly 98 children have been separated from their families following recent natural disasters.
The deployment represents a coordinated humanitarian response to the urgent needs of vulnerable populations in the Himalayan nation, where flooding has displaced thousands and created critical gaps in child welfare services. The Malaysian contingent is among multiple relief efforts responding to the crisis.
United Sikhs Malaysia, a relief organization with experience in disaster response across the region, has coordinated the mission to provide direct support and assistance to the affected children. The group is focusing on areas identified as experiencing the most severe impact from the flooding.
The initiative underscores regional cooperation in responding to natural disasters that impact vulnerable populations, particularly children facing displacement and family separation. Malaysia has historically contributed to disaster relief operations across South and Southeast Asia through both government and non-governmental channels.
