Man arrested in Faridabad shooting death over parking dispute

Authorities in Faridabad have apprehended a man accused of fatally shooting Parmajit Dhankad during a confrontation over a parking space. The shooting occurred on the night of Dhanteras in Sector 21C, escalating from what began as a routine neighborhood disagreement.

Investigators said the suspect, a resident of the same locality, opened fire with a licensed pistol, discharging between 15 and 16 rounds in rapid succession. Dhankad, who had recently returned from Singapore, sustained eight to nine bullet wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident, the accused fled the area along with members of his family. Police launched a manhunt that culminated in the arrest. The case has drawn significant attention due to its high-profile nature and the brazen nature of the shooting in a residential neighborhood.

Further investigations are underway to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the dispute and determine whether additional charges will be filed against the accused.
