Man arrested over alleged sexual assault on LRT train

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a female passenger aboard an LRT train, according to Ampang Jaya police. The victim reported that the incident took place on August 19 as she travelled from Wangsa Maju station toward Pasar Seni station, police chief Khairul Anuar Khalid said. Details surrounding the arrest and the specific charges being considered have yet to be disclosed by authorities. The case is currently under investigation by the Ampang Jaya police force. Commuters on the Malaysian public transport system have been urged to report any suspicious or criminal behaviour to authorities immediately.
