Man charged over assault of Vietnamese woman at Kuala Lumpur nightclub
A businessman has been charged in connection with the alleged assault of a 28-year-old Vietnamese woman at a nightclub in Kuala Lumpur. The case follows calls from Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng for authorities to reopen their investigation.

The charge was filed after the victim, identified as Dao Thi Kim Tra, reported an incident at a club in the capital. Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng had previously urged Bukit Aman, the federal police headquarters, to reinvestigate the matter and pursue appropriate action against the suspect.
The alleged assault occurred at an entertainment venue in the Klang Valley area. Police subsequently identified and apprehended the businessman in connection with the incident, leading to formal charges being preferred.
