Man dies as fast-moving fire destroys Pangasinan home
A 65-year-old resident of Pangasinan died Saturday night when fire rapidly engulfed his house in Barangay Guibel, leaving him unable to escape the blaze.

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – A fast-moving fire claimed one life in this municipality as it consumed a residential structure Saturday evening. The victim, a 65-year-old single and unemployed resident of Barangay Guibel, was trapped inside his home when the fire erupted at 10:35 p.m. on September 12.
According to police reports, the speed at which flames spread through the dwelling prevented the resident from evacuating the premises. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but could not contain the blaze in time to rescue the occupant.
Investigators are continuing to determine the cause of the fire. The incident marks another residential fire in the Pangasinan area, adding to growing concerns over fire safety in the region.
