A man died in a residential fire that engulfed a house in Barangay Wakas, Pilar town, Bataan province on Thursday at midday, authorities said.
The 29-year-old victim was unable to evacuate the burning structure, according to police reports. The fire broke out around noon on October 29.
The victim's 69-year-old father, who lives with a disability, was able to escape the flames and reach safety. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but were unable to rescue the younger man from the inferno.
