Man posing as NBI agent arrested with P350K in methamphetamine
A 45-year-old suspect was apprehended in Sultan Kudarat after attempting to evade a police checkpoint while impersonating a National Bureau of Investigation agent. Officers recovered approximately P350,000 worth of methamphetamine from the suspect's vehicle.

Police arrested a 45-year-old man on Friday night in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, after he allegedly posed as an NBI agent and attempted to flee from a security checkpoint. According to Brig. Gen. Alan Manibog, director of Police Regional Office 12, the suspect was operating a vehicle when he encountered the checkpoint around 9 p.m. on October 9.
When officers signaled the driver to stop for routine inspection, the suspect reportedly refused to comply and accelerated through the checkpoint. Pursuing police units engaged in a chase as the driver allegedly made threats against the officers during the attempted escape.
Authorities eventually apprehended the suspect and conducted a search of the vehicle. The operation yielded approximately P350,000 worth of methamphetamine, commonly known as shabu, along with paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking operations.
The arrest marks another significant drug seizure in the Soccsksargen region. Authorities did not immediately disclose additional details about the suspect's background or formal charges, stating the investigation remained ongoing.
