Man shot dead over debt dispute in Cotabato City
A resident of Cotabato City was fatally shot on Tuesday morning while attempting to settle a financial dispute, police said. The incident occurred in front of the victim's wife in a residential area of the city.

Tulon Guinta Abas, a resident of Barangay Tamontaka Mother, was shot dead during the morning hours in Barangay Kalanganan 2, according to Cotabato City Police Director Col. Jibin Bongcayao. The victim was engaged in settling a debt when the shooting occurred, leaving his wife traumatized at the scene.
Abas was pronounced dead at the location following the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation into the killing, though specific details regarding the suspect or circumstances surrounding the debt dispute remain unclear at this stage.
