Manila Water recovers 1.7 million liters daily through PEZA-Cavite water program

Manila Water Infratech Solutions (MWIS), an operating unit of Manila Water's Non-East Zone division, announced completion of a comprehensive non-revenue water optimization program at the Philippine Economic Zone Authority-Cavite (PEZA-Cavite) facility. The four-month initiative resulted in the recovery of roughly 1.7 million liters of water daily.

The program focused on enhancing water system efficiency and operational reliability across the PEZA-Cavite complex. By identifying and addressing water losses within the distribution network, MWIS was able to significantly improve the overall performance of the water supply system serving the economic zone.

The recovery of such substantial daily water volumes represents a meaningful achievement in reducing non-revenue water—water that is produced and placed into distribution but fails to reach customers due to leakage, theft, or metering inaccuracies. For PEZA-Cavite, which hosts numerous manufacturing and industrial operations, improved water system reliability supports continued economic activity within the zone.

The successful completion of the optimization program underscores Manila Water's commitment to enhancing water infrastructure performance across its service areas in the Philippines.
