Manipal Health Enterprises said on Tuesday it will acquire Kinder Women's Hospital in Doddanekundi, Bengaluru, for a cash consideration of Rs 130 crore. The company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Kindorama Healthcare Private Limited for the entire operations of the facility.
The acquisition encompasses all business operations and assets of Kinder Hospital, though the transaction does not involve share transfers, the healthcare provider clarified in a statement.
The addition of Kinder Women's Hospital is expected to strengthen Manipal's strategic position in Bengaluru's expanding healthcare sector, particularly in the Whitefield micro-market. The move will complement Manipal Hospitals' existing clinical infrastructure while broadening access to its healthcare services and capabilities across the city.
The acquisition underscores Manipal Health Enterprises' strategy to consolidate its presence in key metropolitan markets and enhance its specialised healthcare offerings in high-growth urban centres.
