Mankind Pharma profits surge 37.7% on robust chronic therapy demand

Mankind Pharma reported a net profit jump of 37.7 percent for the second quarter of fiscal 2026-27, reflecting robust performance across its core therapeutic segments. The pharmaceutical company's total revenue climbed 17.3 percent to ₹4,338 crore during the quarter, underscoring sustained momentum in India's domestic pharmaceutical market.

The company's expansion was anchored by accelerating demand for chronic therapies, which continue to gain traction among Indian patients managing long-term health conditions. This therapeutic category has emerged as a key growth driver for Mankind Pharma, offsetting challenges in other segments and contributing substantially to the quarter's profitability gains.

Contributing to the overall growth was the performance of Bharat Serums and Vaccines, the company's speciality vaccines arm, which expanded its product portfolio and market penetration. The speciality vaccines segment continues to represent a significant growth opportunity for the broader organization as it diversifies revenue streams beyond traditional pharmaceuticals.

The results underscore the resilience of India's pharmaceutical sector, where growing healthcare awareness and rising incidence of chronic diseases are sustaining demand for therapeutic solutions. Mankind Pharma's performance suggests that domestic-focused players with strong positions in high-demand therapeutic categories remain well-positioned to capitalize on structural growth tailwinds in the Indian healthcare market.
