Manvir Singh's Goal Secures Victory for Mohun Bagan Against Chennaiyin

Mohun Bagan Super Giant registered an important three points with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Chennaiyin FC in their Indian Super League 2026-27 season clash held in Kolkata on Monday. The hosts' attacking prowess was rewarded when Manvir Singh found the back of the net to secure the winning margin in a closely contested encounter.

The victory extends Mohun Bagan's push up the league standings as they continue their campaign in the tournament. Playing on home soil at their Kolkata venue provided the side with a familiar advantage as they worked to break down a resilient Chennaiyin FC defence.

Chennaiyin FC, despite their loss, presented a stern test for the home side throughout the match. The Chennai-based franchise maintained defensive discipline but ultimately could not find an equaliser against the Super Giant's determined performance.

The win underscores Mohun Bagan Super Giant's credentials as a competitive force in the ongoing ISL season. Manvir Singh's match-winning contribution adds to the striker's growing influence in the league competition as the campaign progresses.
