MARA to Deploy Ex-Military Wardens Across All Residential Schools

MARA has announced plans to hire ex-military wardens across all Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) institutions as part of a comprehensive strategy to combat psychological bullying among students. According to MARA leadership, the recruitment drive will focus on retired military personnel who can bring discipline and structured approaches to school management. MARA has engaged Universiti Putra Malaysia to develop a specialized training module tailored to the unique needs of school wardens. The module is expected to equip recruits with skills in psychological support, conflict resolution, and early intervention in cases of student bullying and harassment. Officials indicated that the training programme will be customized to address the specific challenges faced by Malaysian secondary school students in residential settings.
