Marcoleta TV co-host seeks exemption from testifying in plunder case

Nelson Lubao, co-host of the television show where Senator Rodante Marcoleta allegedly discussed a P75 million donation, has requested to be excused from testifying in the senator's plunder case before the Sandiganbayan's Third Division. Through his counsel, Lubao filed a manifestation with motion seeking exemption from witness duties in the proceedings.
The request comes as the anti-graft court continues hearing the case against Marcoleta, which centers on allegations surrounding the P75 million donation that was featured in discussions on the television program. The nature of Lubao's grounds for seeking exemption has not been publicly disclosed.
