Marcos administration distributes P154 million aid to Cavite barangays

MANILA — The Marcos administration has released P154 million in direct assistance to 770 barangays across Cavite province, targeting infrastructure improvements, public safety programs, and educational support, according to an announcement made Sunday. Executive Secretary Ralph Recto disclosed that the allocation represents a significant investment in local communities, with funds directed toward critical development needs at the barangay level. A substantial portion of the assistance—P77 million—has been earmarked specifically for 3,850 incoming fourth-year college students in Cavite, enabling them to complete their degrees without financial barriers. The remaining funds are distributed among the recipient barangays for public safety initiatives and local development projects that address immediate community needs.
