MANILA – The Marcos administration will issue an executive order formalizing its anti-drug strategy later this year as part of efforts to broaden the government's response to narcotics use and trafficking, according to Marikina Representative Marcelino "Marcy" Teodoro.
Tedoro disclosed on Wednesday that the Presidential Management Staff is undertaking a comprehensive review of the 2018 Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS), which will form the basis of the forthcoming executive order.
The move reflects the administration's commitment to establishing a more structured and comprehensive approach to drug enforcement and prevention across the country. The formalization through executive order is expected to provide clearer guidelines and coordination mechanisms among relevant government agencies involved in the anti-drug campaign.
