MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s approval rating has deteriorated to "poor" in the third quarter of 2026, according to findings released by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) polling organization.

The latest survey, conducted from September 21-28, found that 35 percent of adult Filipinos expressed satisfaction with the president's performance, while 46 percent registered dissatisfaction. This represents a substantial shift from the president's previous "neutral" rating.

The 11-percentage-point gap between satisfied and dissatisfied respondents signals eroding public confidence in the Marcos administration's governance and policy execution during the critical third quarter period. The poor rating marks one of the lowest approval benchmarks recorded for the president since taking office.

SWS, the country's leading independent polling organization, conducts regular surveys to track public sentiment toward national leadership and government performance. The findings are viewed as a significant bellwether of public opinion heading into the final months of the year.
