MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. refrained from commenting on an arrest warrant issued against Vice President Sara Duterte during an inspection of the Marikina Solid Waste Management System on Monday. When reporters attempted to solicit the President's response to the warrant, Marcos did not address the matter. The warrant stems from allegations that Duterte made serious threats directed at the President and First Lady Liza Marcos. The development marks an escalation in tensions between the two top government officials. As of Monday, neither the President's office nor the Vice President had issued formal statements regarding the warrant or the underlying allegations.
