Marcos designates additional Cavite land for economic zone expansion

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued a proclamation to designate additional land in Cavite for coverage under existing economic zones, marking another step in the administration's push to expand the country's industrial footprint.

The proclamation covers approximately 14,640 square meters of land located in Barangay Sta. Rosa I in Noveleta, Cavite. The designated area has been included in the coverage of Cavite Economic Zone II, an existing special economic zone in the province.

The expansion of ecozone designations is part of broader efforts to attract investments and facilitate business operations in strategic locations. Economic zones typically offer incentives such as tax breaks and streamlined regulatory processes to encourage industrial and commercial enterprises.

Cavite, located south of Metro Manila, has long served as a major industrial and manufacturing hub for the Philippines. The province hosts numerous export-oriented industries and multinational companies, making additional ecozone designations a significant development for local economic growth.
