MANILA — Malacañang has clarified that President Marcos does not factor political leanings into his choice of government officials, insisting instead that capability to deliver public services remains the primary criterion for appointment.
The statement addresses concerns raised following the president's decision to bring Rey Joseph "RJ" Nieto, a blogger known for his support of the Duterte administration, into the presidential palace.
