Marcos welcomes Supreme Court reversal of mother's graft conviction

President Marcos welcomed the high court's ruling while attending an event in New Delhi, India on Sunday, telling reporters that he was pleased the legal matter had finally concluded. "I'm glad that the case is over," the president said, underscoring the long-standing nature of the proceedings that have shadowed his family since the early 1980s.
The Supreme Court's decision to reverse the 2018 conviction marks a significant legal development for the Marcos family. The former first lady had faced graft charges stemming from allegations related to her tenure during the Marcos administration's final years.
