Marine police, wildlife officials bust major protected bird trafficking ring

KUALA TERENGGANU — The Kuala Terengganu Region Three Marine Police Force and Terengganu Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) have confiscated protected birds valued at approximately RM700,000 in a coordinated enforcement action.

The operation targeted illegal wildlife trafficking activities in the state, resulting in the recovery of multiple specimens of protected avian species. Authorities conducted raids at several locations as part of their ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and unlicensed trading of endangered wildlife.
