Maruti Suzuki India Limited posted a 25 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales during October, reaching 2.76 lakh units, underpinned by strong performance across its product portfolio. The company's passenger vehicle segment grew 18 per cent, reflecting sustained consumer demand in the personal mobility sector.

Utility vehicles emerged as a key growth driver, with sales climbing 26 per cent to 97,787 units during the month. This segment's outperformance reflects the Indian market's ongoing shift towards SUVs and multi-purpose vehicles across income brackets.

The automaker's international operations also gathered pace, with exports surging 59 per cent to 49,872 units. This substantial jump underscores Maruti Suzuki's expanding footprint in overseas markets and growing reliance on shipments beyond India's borders.

The October performance comes as the domestic automobile industry navigates seasonal demand patterns and supply chain normalisation. Industry observers attribute the company's growth trajectory to new model launches, competitive pricing, and improved availability across dealerships nationwide.
