Massive boar escapes pen, halts traffic on elevated highway

A large wild boar caused unexpected traffic disruptions on an elevated highway on Monday after escaping from its pen and straying onto the busy roadway. The 100-kilogramme animal, which had been let out for exercise, instead made its way onto the nearby expressway, alarming drivers and forcing authorities to manage the unusual obstruction.

Motorists were startled by the unexpected presence of the massive animal on the highway, creating hazardous conditions as vehicles swerved to avoid the boar. The incident prompted concerns about road safety as the animal wandered across lanes.

The boar's owner arrived at the scene and spent more than an hour attempting to guide the animal back to its enclosure. Using patience and encouragement, the owner eventually succeeded in coaxing the boar away from the highway and back to containment.

The incident highlights the risks posed when large animals escape their enclosures near heavily trafficked areas. Authorities did not report any injuries or significant vehicle collisions resulting from the boar's highway excursion.
