KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — The Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) has expressed appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, regarding the recent pardon granted to former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

In a statement, the party acknowledged the sovereign's constitutional authority to exercise such prerogative powers. The MCA emphasised that while respecting the decision, it remains steadfast in upholding the primacy of Malaysia's Federal Constitution and the rule of law.
