Medvedev advances at U.S. Open despite avian interruption
Russian second seed Daniil Medvedev progressed to the third round of the U.S. Open on Wednesday, dispatching American wildcard Sebastian Gorzny in straight sets despite an unusual disruption from birds during the match at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York.

Medvedev dominated the encounter, securing a commanding 6-1 6-3 7-5 victory to maintain his push towards the latter stages of the tournament.
