Medvedev's straight-set triumph over the French player puts the 28-year-old within touching distance of the semi-finals in Vienna, while simultaneously confirming his qualification for the prestigious ATP Finals in Turin later this month.
The Russian dominated proceedings from the outset, breaking Mannarino's serve multiple times across both sets to secure a convincing 6-2 6-3 victory. The performance demonstrated the form that has kept Medvedev among tennis's elite throughout the season.
With the Finals berth now mathematically secured, Medvedev can focus entirely on his remaining matches in Vienna. His presence among the eight players competing at the year-end championship underscores his status as a consistent performer on the ATP Tour.
The ATP Finals, held annually as the circuit's most exclusive tournament, brings together the year's top performers. Medvedev's qualification marks a milestone in what has been another successful campaign for the Russian on the professional circuit.
