Melaka pledges business-as-usual operations amid assembly dissolution
Melaka's Chief Minister has assured the public that state government services will continue uninterrupted as the state assembly moves toward dissolution. The administration will maintain normal operations during the transition period.

MELAKA — The Melaka state government will continue functioning normally despite the imminent dissolution of the state assembly, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said on Sunday.
Ab Rauf gave the assurance to residents and stakeholders that all government services, development projects and administrative matters would proceed without disruption during the dissolution process.
The dissolution marks a significant political development for the southern state, though officials have emphasised that the transition will not affect the delivery of essential services to the public.
State government departments have been directed to maintain regular operations and ensure that ongoing initiatives continue as scheduled. The Chief Minister's office did not announce specific timelines for fresh elections but stressed the importance of administrative continuity.
The move comes as Melaka navigates a period of political change, with the state leadership keen to demonstrate stability and reassure investors and residents of the government's commitment to development and public welfare.
