All educational institutions operating under the Ministry of Education in Melaka state will reopen their doors following a dip in air pollution levels, a state executive councillor announced. The decision comes after the Air Pollution Index readings in the state fell below 100, moving away from the hazardous range that had prompted the temporary closure of schools.

The reopening marks an end to disruptions caused by deteriorating air quality in the region. Schools had been closed due to concerns over hazardous pollution levels affecting student health and wellbeing. The improvement in atmospheric conditions has provided authorities with confidence to allow educational activities to resume.

State officials did not indicate whether the improved air quality was expected to remain stable or if further monitoring would continue. The reopening applies to all government and government-aided schools under the federal education ministry's purview throughout Melaka.
