Melaka to hold state elections on November 14

The Election Commission announced that Melaka's state election will take place on November 14, with the nomination period commencing on October 31. The timeline gives political parties and independent candidates less than a month to prepare their campaigns and field candidates across the state's constituencies. The electoral exercise marks a significant political event for the southern state, which will determine the composition of the Melaka State Assembly. All eligible voters in Melaka are expected to participate in the democratic process to select their representatives.
