Messi's 13th assist draws Inter Miami level with Chicago Fire
Lionel Messi set up Carlos Casemiro for an early second-half equalizer as Inter Miami held Chicago Fire to a 1-1 draw in Major League Soccer action. The result came before a record crowd of 63,094 at Soldier Field.

Inter Miami equalized three minutes into the second half when Messi's free kick found Casemiro for a header, marking the Argentine playmaker's league-leading 13th assist of the season. Casemiro's goal was his third in eight MLS appearances, extending a streak of headers in three consecutive matches.
Chicago had taken the lead in the 10th minute through Robert Lewandowski, who notched his sixth goal in nine MLS appearances. Defender Andrew Gutman provided the assist, while Robin Lod contributed his fourth of the campaign as the Fire carried their advantage into halftime.
Chicago goalkeeper Chris Brady made six saves to keep his team competitive, including a diving stop on a shot by German Berterame in the 16th minute during a strong first-half performance. Inter Miami's Dayne St. Claire recorded two saves as the two sides settled for a stalemate at the iconic Chicago venue.
The draw leaves Inter Miami with a record of 12-4-8, while Chicago improved to 11-6-6 in the MLS standings.
