KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning for three states as a thunderstorm system moves across the region, bringing the risk of heavy rainfall and strong winds.
Penang, Sabah and Sarawak are in the alert zone, with meteorologists forecasting intense downpours that could lead to localized flooding in low-lying areas. Wind gusts are expected to accompany the storms, potentially affecting outdoor activities and causing minor structural damage.
