MetMalaysia warns seven states of severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather alert for seven states across the country, warning of severe thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and strong winds expected during the evening hours. The alert advises residents in the affected regions to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions as the weather system moves through.

Thunderstorms of this nature typically bring intense rainfall that can lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas and poor visibility on roads. Strong winds accompanying such systems can also pose risks to structures and outdoor activities.
