Metro Manila drug raid nets six suspects, P2.1M in methamphetamine

Law enforcement authorities conducted simultaneous buy-bust operations in Marikina, Makati, and Taguig, resulting in the apprehension of the six suspects and the seizure of approximately 314.34 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, police disclosed Thursday.

Two of those arrested were identified as high-value individuals (HVIs) in the drug trade, making the operations particularly significant for regional anti-narcotics efforts. The coordinated approach across three separate locations in the capital region underscores an ongoing crackdown on illegal drug distribution networks.

The seized substances were turned over to appropriate authorities for documentation and laboratory examination. The arrested individuals are expected to face drug trafficking charges in accordance with Philippine narcotics laws. Police did not immediately disclose additional details regarding the suspects' identities or their suspected roles in the drug distribution hierarchy.

The operations reflect intensified enforcement activities targeting the methamphetamine trade in the National Capital Region, where drug-related concerns remain a persistent public order challenge.
